This World War Two era postcard illustrates the

site's continuation of  clean up month

What's New Last Month
.
It's Clean Up Month STILL- With the site in its ninth year of growth and development it is necessary to go back and clean up some of the many little imperfections in structure, broken links, etc. ALL very BORING but overdue. I am also changing software, at least intending to. This should be transparent to you. You may find a page that shows up in the search engine missing because I've moved it. It will all sort out next time I re-index the search engine. OR you can always get to pages using the site's place and subject natural structure.
I've also been trying to catch up on cataloguing the thousands of antique post cards for the area and hope to make more of them available presented by place, photographer, etc. on the site.
NOTE: By using the sidebar links on the What's New Pages, you can link to any other place on this massive site. Be sure you know how to use them . It will save you a lot of time and make the site much more efficient for you to use. It will also guide you to resources you may have overlooked even if you have used the site for many years. Subject links on the left and Township links on the right

06 NOV 2004 Obituary Pages by Cemetery - I and some of our helpers have been developing this section of the site in the background, and it is now well enough formed to present it. Its continued development is up to the willingness of you, the site guest, to submit your obits. There are already 215 pages of obits on the site that are not arranged by cemetery, but they are a source for this section as well. If you submit an obit from an existing page, please say so and give me the page number, so that I can delete it from the other location.

Our good friend and long time helper, Carlton Wolfe, who has been transcribing census for us for the past five years, has had a serious loss of vision. In spite of this great loss, he still has taken the time to let me know how badly he feels about not being able to finish some of the census work he has started. He has loved doing it. He did 1880 for us for all three counties - the whole thing!!!  And he has made a good start on 1870. I will appreciate it very much if all of you could send him an email to let him know how much you appreciate and value all he has done for us. I have his mailing address so you can send cards. I will give it to you if you drop me a note, but I do not want to publish it.. Now is the time to thank Carlton for the tremendous gift he has given us. Carlton620@wmconnect.com
