Death occurred suddenly as he was preparing to drive his automobile out of the garage. Mr. Covert, whose term as commissioner ended two months ago had been in poor health during recent weeks and suffered a slight heart attack yesterday. He was 74 years old. He went to the garage yesterday morning intending to drive to a Williamsport barber shop. He had opened the garage doors and gotten into his machine before the fatal attack.
