The township pages include all the links to all pagd about that towship (Census, Cemeteries, Schools, Etc.) In Summer 2020, the Chemung portion of the site was transferred to Maggie Young as coordinator for Chemung County GenWeb. You can reach all of those pages at the GenWeb site. They are all still available on this site as well, but will eventually be removed. The site is under renovation, but it is a slow process and will happen over many months (years) Check out the Online Catalog of The History Center collections (photos, books, archives, etc.) It's only a portion of our collection, but fun to see. Tri-Counties Genealogy & History had its origin in August 1996 as part of the newly formed USGenWeb, a system of linked county and state pages entirely created by volunteers. While Joyce Tice put it all together, the availability of the content is the work of dozens, if not hundreds, of participants. Over the following years, countless volunteers recorded cemetery lists, typed records and article, collected photos, transcribed census records, and sent in their own family records. Many of the countless people who partipated in the original collection, have since died. Their names remain on the pages they helped accumulate as a memorial to their work and generosity. |
