Post Offices in Athens Township  in 1870  -  Residents in Athens Borough ALL  picked up their mail at the Athens PO. Residents of Athens Township, used the Athens Post Office, or Orcutt Creek PO.   There was no rural delivery until 1903.  The present day boroughs of Sayre and South Waverly were not yet formed in 1870. .
