The funeral was held Sunday, for Mrs. Gladys Beatrice Kutz, 74, of Covington, who died Friday, Oct. 26, 1973, in the Williamsport Hospital fol-lowing a short illness. She was born in Cherry Flats, Tioga County, on Sept. 29, 1899, a daughter of William and Alice Marvin Douglass. Mrs. Kutz was a retired employee of the state Bureau of Vital Statistics, Harrisburg, and had lived in Covington since her retirement. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Twilight Chapter, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Outlook Club, all of Mansfield. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of the Supreme Sacrifice Post 8730, Blossburg. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Stauffer, of Har-risburg; two Sons, H. Douglas, of New York, N.Y., and Wil-liam, of Milford, Del., a sister, Mrs. Helen Tears, of Blossburg, and five grandchildren. The furneral was held Sunday at the Kuhl Funeral Home, 18 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield. The Rev. Edward M. Trask, a United Methodist minister from Tioga, officiated.
