Dear Joyce,
What a beautiful task you have undertaken and the effort is superb.
Checking the cemetery records, I found I can give you more information
Foy C. Lusk was in his 78th year when he died. Cora L. was 82 at the time of her death. I think her funeral was Feb. 14th at Roberts. The burial probably occured later after the ground thawed.
Thanks again for all your hard work.
Sincerely,
Foy June Lusk Wimer
Joyce; [March 2007]
I'm at it again. The Lovell genealogy that is. I'm going through all of the Cemeteries listed on your Web site.. What a savings. Anyway, I noticed on the Ashland Cemetery records (Wellsburg, N.Y.) a listing for:              "Robert S. Lovell   (no stone) CR d. Chemung, aged 61 years; placed in receiving vault first & buried Feb 18, 1971. T"
This was my cousin. He is buried in the Chemung, N.Y. cemetery  - not in  Wellsburg's Ashland Cemetery. I assume the records came from Robert's Funeral Home and never were revised when he was buried in the Chemung cemetery. Thought I'd correct that in case anyone else may be looking. OK?
Thanks again - Great, great job. Also like the article in the Elmira paper - also like your kitty!
