1. Georgianna1 Cook, daughter of Hiram Cook* and Emma
Lucinda Westbrook, (#8832) was born in Tioga, Tioga Township, Tioga County,
Pennsylvania 21 APR 1846. Individual flags: Obituary; Photograph.
Georgianna died 5 DEC 1924 in Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga County,
Pennsylvania, at age 78. Her body was interred 8 DEC 1924 in Watson
Cemetery,Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
She married Lyman C. Benson 25 SEP 1864. (Lyman C.
Benson is #8827.) Lyman was born 28 JUN 1838 in Mill Creek, Rutland
Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Lyman was the son of Otis
S. Benson and Wealtha Matilda Jaqua*. Lyman died 07 MAR 1929
in Mansfield, Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 90.
His body was interred 10 MAR 1929 in Watson Cemetery,Roseville, Rutland
Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Lyman was listed in a
directory in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1899.
Benson Lyman C, r 25, sect school board and farmer, 500 acres Lyman was
a pioneer settler of Rutland credited with clearing up over a hundred acres
of land from forest to farm land. The year after his marriage, he and his
wife bought 100 acres of woods on Mill Creek. Lyman and a hired man cleared
over 18 acres the first year, peeling the bark and taking it to the tanneries
at Tioga. The farm eventually grew to 719 acres. Obituary in Rutland Scrapbook

was born in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Charles
died MAY 1906 at age unknown. He married Clarissa M. Sherman 8 NOV
1902. (Clarissa M. Sherman is #5512.) Clarissa was born 24
NOV 1833 in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Clarissa
was the daughter of Jefferson Sherman and Eliva McArthur. Clarissa
died 3 FEB 1913 in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age
79. Her body was interred FEB 1913 in Watson Cemetery,Roseville,
Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
Charles was listed in a directory in Rutland Township,
Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1899. Benson Charles, r 22 cor 15,
farmer, 100 acres
3 ii. Weltha Matilda Benson
(#8838) was born in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1865.
Individual flags: Newspaper. Weltha died 26 APR 1876 in Roseville,
Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 10. Her body
was interred APR 1876 in Watson Cemetery,Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga
County, Pennsylvania. Earlier record says Weltha died in infancy-

H. Benson (#8835) was born in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania
1866. Individual flags: Obituary; Photograph. Anthony died
24 MAR 1963 at age 96. His body was interred MAR 1963 in Watson Cemetery,Roseville,
Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. He married Helen
C. Newbry. (Helen C. Newbry is #8782.) Helen was born 1872
in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Helen was the daughter
of John Newbry and Henrietta Updyke. Helen died 1963 at age 91.
Her body was interred 1963 in Watson Cemetery,Roseville, Rutland Township,
Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Helen and Anthony lived for some time
in the old Newbry house on Pumpkin Hill outside of Roseville. This is the
property on which the Old Newbry Cemetery is located. Allene Harris and
Roger York live there now.

Benson (#8836) was born in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania
1869. She married Peter R. Stout

was born in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 6 MAR 1873.

Pennsylvania. She married twice. She married Laverne
Barden. (Laverne Barden is #8841.) Laverne was the son of Dr.
John M. Barden. Laverne died 1900 at age unknown. His body
was interred 1900 in Mansfield, Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

was born in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 7 JAN 1881.

JAN 1886 in Jackson Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Blanche
was the daughter of Clinton Baker and Amanda Sheive. Blanche died
9 JUN 1974 in Witts Nursing H., at age 88.
