 She married Anthony H. Benson.  (Anthony H. Benson is #8835.)  Anthony was born 1866 in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Anthony was the son of Lyman C. Benson and Georgianna Cook.  Anthony died 24 MAR 1963 at age 96.  His body was interred MAR 1963 in Watson Cemetery,Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.   Anthony was listed in a directory in Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1899.   Benson Anthony, r 21 farmer leases of Lyman, 55

 Anthony was listed in a directory in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1899.   Benson Anthony, r 24, farmer, about 100 acres Helen and Anthony lived for some time in the old Newbry house on Pumpkin Hill outside of Roseville. This is the property on which the Old Newbry Cemetery is located. Allene Harris and Roger York live there now.

      Helen C. Newbry and Anthony H. Benson had the following children:

      2  i.  Hazel2 Benson (#13471).  Hazel died 1992 at age unknown.
      3  ii.  Mabel Benson (#13469) was born 02 Mar 1894.  Individual flags: Soc.Sec..  Mabel died 16 Jul 1973 in Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 79.  Her body was interred Jul 1973 in Watson Cemetery,Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  She married Ross C. Smith after 1927.  (Ross C. Smith is #8539.)

 Ross was born 188x in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Ross was the son of Byron C. Smith and Maria Smith.  He married Mayme Lownsberry 19 OCT 1902 in Lawrenceville, Lawrence Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Ross died 1959 at age 76.  Ross lived near Mansfield in a big square house on west side of Route 15 in Canoe Camp. He and his wives raised George Lownsberry. Mabel was married to a Mr. Hilfiger first.
      4  iii.  Stanley Newbry Benson (#8784) was born in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1901.  Individual flags: Obituary.  Stanley died 20 JUL 1904 in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 3.   His body was interred JUL 1904 in Watson Cemetery,Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Obituary says Evergreen Cemetery and Watson lists includes him there. Stanley Newbry Benson, the only son of Anthony and Helen Newbry Benson, died July 20, 1904, aged 3 years. His death was very sudden, having been sick but a few days with spinal menengitis. The funeral services were held at the family home and were conducted by Rev. Walker, of Daggett, who preached an excellent sermon from the text "God shall wipe away all tears." Beautiful selections were rendered by Misses Wilcox and Adams and Mrs. Lewis Palmer, and Messrs. Chas. Longwell and J. F. Wilcox. The bearers were C. Humphrey Blood, Thomas Gillett, Guy Brown, Ernest Argetsinger. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
      5  iv.  Luther C. Benson (#13470) was born in Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 25 SEP 1905.  Individual flags: Soc.Sec..  Luther died MAR 1975 in Mansfield, Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 69.  His body was interred MAR 1975 in Watson Cemetery,Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  He married Lelia C. Beiver*.  (Lelia C. Beiver* is #26921.)  Lelia was born 1906.  Her body was interred in Watson Cemetery,Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
      6  v.  Esther H. Benson (#13472) was born in Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 16 Jan 1909.  Individual flags: Obituary.  Esther died 13 Nov 1994 in Soldiers & Sailors Mem. Hosp., Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 85.  Her body was interred Nov 1994 in Watson Cemetery,Roseville, Rutland Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
