Last Will and Testament of Victoria Besanceney
Registers Office May 28, 1908
This day was presented an instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Victoria Besanceney late of Blossburg, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, deceased, as follows,
I, Victoria Besanceney , widow of Blossburg, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory, and understanding do hereby make and publish this last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made and as to such property as it will please God to entrust me, I dispose of the same as follows:
First : I direct that all my just debts shall be paid by my executors here in after named as soon after my decease as is practical and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and stations in life.
Second: I give and bequeath to my executors hereinafter named, the sum of fifty(50.) dollars to be paid by them as they may think advisable for the purpose of holding mass. They to use their own discretion in the payment of same.
Third: I give and bequeath to Mrs Rasums Anderson of Blossburg, Pennsylvania, my cook stove.
Fourth: I give and bequeath to Rose Robena wife of Amos Robena of Arnot, Pennsylvania, to Mary Anderson, daughter of Rasums Anderson of Blossburg, Pennsylvania, and to Nellie McEntee, daughter of John D. McEntee of Blossburg, Pennsylvania , each the sum of twenty five (25.) dollars, to be paid to them by my executors hereinafter named as soon as conviently may be after my decease.
Fifth: I give bequeath to Francis Besanceney, son of William Besanceney, the sum of twenty five (25.) dollars for which I wish him to buy a watch in my memory. The said money to be deposited by the executors in the bank at Blossburg, Pennsylvania, until the said Francis Besanceney reaches the age of twenty one. If however, my executors should deem it advisable to give him the money and the accured
interest when he is nineteen they may do so.
Sixth: I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, remainder and residue of my said property wheather real, personal, or mixed whatsoever and wheresoever situated equally share and share alike to my said children now living and I hereby direct my said executors hereinafter named to dispose of my property as soon after my decease as is practical and make the said division,
Lastly: I hereby Constitute, nominate and appoint John McEntee and Patrick J. Woods of Blossburg, Pennsylvania, my said executors.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal to this my last will and testament written on two pages of two sheets of paper, this seventh day of March, A.D. one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Mary Besanceney claims to have seen a mermaid on the ship from France to the U.s.
Mary brought dandelions and Roses with her from France, Rose bushes can still be found in the Beech Grove area. They named them the French Rose.
Mary also believed in herbal healings when anyone in the area was sick they called up on Mary, even the logging camps.
Mary Besanceney shows 9 children , 8 living in the 1900 census . married about 1861
Last Will and Testament of Mary S. Ducotey
That I Mary S. Ducotey of the City of Akron County of Summit and State of Ohio being about 85 years of age and being of sound and disposing mind and memory, Do make, publish and Declare this my last wills and testiments by me heretofore:
First:--- My will is, that my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid out of my estate, as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient.
Second:--- I give devise and Bequeth to Julia Marshall, a daughter, Jennie Bower, a daughter, Charley Ducotey, a son , Annie Palmatier, a daughter, and William Ducotey, a son, all my property, both real and personal of which I die possed, to be divided equally among them, but subject to the following provision:
If my executor shall be unable to collect the amounts due my estate on notes held by me at the time of making this will, said notes being against Warren Bower, a grandson, and Carl Ducotey , a grandson, in case said notes have not been paid prior to my decease, then I direct that the amount due from Warren Bower, shall be deducted from the share falling to my daughter, Jennie Bower, and the amount due from Carl Ducotey shall be deducted from the share falling to my son Charley Ducotey and the amount deducted from one or both shares shall be equally divided among my five children.
Third:-- In case of the death of any of my children prior to my decease, then I direct that the share falling to said deceased child shall be divided to said deceased's children, provided that the provision regarding the uncollectible debts in item 2 shall be carried out as directed in said item.
Fourth:--- I direct that my son William Ducotey shall act as the executor of my will.

Christian was known for his homemade cider thru out white pine area.
Altho I've not proven it 100 percent, Christian Ducotey and Augustus Pequignot are alledgely half brothers.
Last Will of Christan Ducotey
I Christian Ducotey farmer of Cogan House Twp., County of Lycoming and State of Pennsylvania being of sound memory and understanding do make publish and decease this to be my last will and testament in manner following that is to say I order that all my just debts, funeral expenses and charged of this my will be in the first place fully paid and satisfied. I give and bequeath to my son Ebon F. the team of horses that is now on my farm and after the death of my wife Mary SW. Ducotey I desire and direct that he Ebon F. Ducotey be given fiveHundred ($500.00) dollars in cash or it's equivalent out of my estate and all the farming implements that may be left on the farm of that time .
I give and bequeath to my wife Mary S. Ducotey the full use and benefit of all my property real, personnel and mixed, except the above mentioned team, during her life with full power to see any of the personnal property she may think proper and also if at any time after my death my said wife with the free consent of all my heirs they can sell my real estate to good advantage in that care. I empower the executor herein after named to sell the same and here by given them full power to see and give deed or deeds for the same and no inventory to be taken off any of my property until after the death of my wife Mary S. Ducotey or as long as she remains my widow.
Should my heirs decide to sell my estate before the death of my wife , then I desire that my wife Mary S. Ducotey be given one third (1/3) and the balance 2/3 be divided amoung my six children as follows Julia Marshall, Eben Ducotey, Jennie Bower, and Annie Fox, to recieve Shares and share alike, Charles Ducotey and William Ducotey to recieve equal shares, but to be one third 1/3 less then the above four, as I consider they have already had the difference. Should my real estate not be sold until after my wifes death, then I direct that my executors sell the same and I hereby give them full power to sell and give deed or deeds for the same and further after disposing of all my property, divide it amoung my children in the above manner stated. I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint T. F. Connelly of Cogan House and John Fox of Forrest City , Susquehanna County, Penna. Executors of my last will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former and other wills by me at any time made and declaring this to be my last will and testament.

Will of Rose C. Robena
I, Rose C. Robena, now residing at no. 39 Epworth Street, Rochester, New York, make this my will and Testament.
First:___ After all claims against my estate have been paid, I direct that a marker be placed at my grave in the family lot at Blossburg, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
Second:__ I give to my daughters, Sadie L. Robena and Mary Agnes Robena, my household furnishings and personnal effects.
Third:__ I give to Reverend Arthur Florack, Assistant Pastor at S.S. Peter and Paul Church, Rochester, New York, One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars to be used by him or one of the other priest for masses for myself and other deceased members of my family.
Fourth:___ I give my residuary estate to be divided equally among my children living at my decease, share and share alike, but if my daughter, Rose Hurley , predecease me, her children shall take her share.
Fifth:__ I appoint Sadie L. Robena, my daughter, Executrix of this will and give to my said Executrix full power and authority to sell any real estate of which I may die seized.
In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand seal this 8th day of April , 1925.

I Mary Bethune of the city of Rocherter in the county of Monroe and the State of New York being of sound mind and memory , do make, and declare this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say:
First: I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my death as practicable.
Second: I make the following bequests:
To the society for the Propagation of the faith the sum of $500.00 as an offering for Low Masses for the repose of the souls of myself, my family and my husband, John Bethune.

Third:___ All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, I give, devise and bequeath to my brother, Francis Robena. In the event my said brother preeceases me, I direct that the said rests, residue and remainder of my estate be distributed as follows.
One-half thereof to St. Josephs home for the blind, Jersey City, New Jersey.
One- half thereof to St. Joseph's Villa, 3300 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, Ny 14616

Last Will and Testament
of
Sadie R. Buedingen
I Sadie R. Buedingen , residing at 3550 St. Paul Boulevard, in the town of Irondequoit, Monroe County, New York, hereby make , publish, and declare this to be my last will and testament and hereby revoke all former wills and codicils made by me.
Article One
I direct my executors to arrange for my funeral service at St. Margret Mary's church at Rochester, New York and for my interment in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery at Blossburg, Pennsylvania. Farrell Brothers Colonial Funeral Home, now located at 51 Rodge Road West, Rochester, New York, and my brother, Francis J. Robena, shall be retained to make all arrangements for the disposition of my remains.
Article Two
I appoint my brother, Francis J. Robena, and my sister, Mary Robena Bethune, co-executors of this my last will and testament, or if either of them is unable or unwilling or for any other reason fails either to undertake or to complete his duties as co-executor, I appoint the other sole executor. No bond or other security shall be required in any jurisdiction of either such co-executor, or if a bond be required, no suraty shall be required thereon. The words "my executors", whenever used in this will, shall mean both of my co-executors whenever both are acting and shall mean whichever of my co-executors is acting whenever only one is acting.
Article Three
I direct my executors to erect upon my grave at St. Andrews catholic Cemetery a memorial stone which shall insofar as possible be in complete harmony with the other memorial stones upon the other graves in the family lot containing my grave.I further direct my executors to provide for the perpatual care of the entire family lot containing my grave. The cost of such memorial stone and the cost and manner of provision for such perpetual care shall rest in the sole discretion of my executors, and such expenditures shall be preferred over all legacies under this will. The provision of this article Three shall not create any legally enforceable right in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery, and St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery shall not be considered to be legatee under this will.
Article Four
I bequeath five hundred dollars to the Pastor (at the time of my death) of the Church of St. Margret Mary, now located at 401 Rogers Parkway, Rochester, New York, and I request him to celebrate announced Low Masses for the repose of my soul and the souls of the deceased members of my family.
Article Five
I bequeath five hundred dollars to the pastor (at the time of my death) of St. Mary's French Church Society (our Lady of Victory Church), now located at 10 Pleasant Street, Rochester, New York, and I request him to celebrate announced Low Masses for the repose of my soul and the souls of the dedeased members of my family.
Article Six
I bequeath all of my tangible personal property (which shall exclude money, securities, and evidences of both money and investments) to my brother, Francis J. Robena, and my sister Mary Robena Bethune, in equal shares, or to the survivor of them if only one survives me. Without intending hereby to create a trust or to diminish in any way the absolute nature of the foregoing bequest, I request that Francis J. Robena and Mary Robena Bethune and the survivor of them give any items of my tangible personal property which they do not want for their own personal use to my nephews and nieces who survive me, in what ever shares they deem appropriate, provided that such nephews and nieces want such items of tangible personal property for their own personal use.
Article Seven
I bequeath two thousand dollars to my niece, Rose Hurley Champaign, now residing at 1408 North Bolevard, Deland, Florida, if she survives me.
Article Eight
I bequeath two thousand dollars to my niece, Elaine Hurley Drexel, now residing at 148 Afton Street, Rochester, New York, if she survives me.
Article Nine
I bequeath two thousand dollars to my niece, Rose Rhode, now residing at Watercure Hill Road, Elmira, New York, if she survives me.
Article Ten
All inheritance, estate, transfer, and other death taxes with respect to my entire gross tax estate (including any interest and penalities thereon) shall be paid by my executors as if such death taxes were a debt of mine, without apportionment among the persons benefited by the property included in my gross tax estate, whether such property passes under this will or otherwise.
Article Eleven
I bequeath and devise all the rest , residue, and remainder of my property, both real and personal and wheresoever situate, to my brother, Francis J. Robena and my sister, Mary Robena Bethune, in equal shares, or to the survivor of them if only one shall survive me.
Article Twelve
Without intending hereby to distinguish between duties and powers or to contradict or limit in anyway any power or authorization conferred by law, I authorize my executors to do the following with respect to all property , both real and personal and wheresoever situate, which at any time is part of my estate:
A. to sell at public or private sale, exchange, partition, pledge, mortage,improve,alter,subdivide,or lease for any term any or all such property, grant essements and options of limited or unlimited duration with respect thereto, and accept purchase money mortages or any other secured or unsecured obligations in payment therefore:
B. to retain any or all such property in the form recieved even though such property may not be diversified as to kind or amount or may not be of a type authorized by any applicable law for the investment of estate or trust funds.
C. to make any payment , division, or distribution of my estate wholly or partly in kind at whatever my executors deem to be current market values, with no requirement that shares be similarly composed or that any beneficiary consent to the composition of his shares or to such current market values as determined by my executors,
