This is the oldest photo of the Elk Run Methodist Church that I have. This would have been called the Chandlersburg Methodist Church in Rosina's time. This is before any of the additions had been erected. The church was razed to its foundation in 2002 and a house built on it. I have the six stained glass windows and the doors  in my Sullivan Township Museum. The bell has disappeared. The church never did get its steeple, although a fund existed for it when the church closed in 1992. The church had been established in 1864 and this building erected shortly threafter. It is now just a memory here in the neighborhood.
