The first day of 1875 finds me at home. Lida come up here. Chauncey was here also Alonzo Smith. Will went to Fathers. Will & Chauncey went to meeting. Nancy, children & I stayed at home. The same yesterday today and forever.

Will went to Mill. Orrin went to Louisa, got Buttermilk. It snows hard yet,
the most we have had this winter. Nancy is the same today.

Will & Frank are drawing hay from Robbins barn. Chauncey come here at night,
stayed all night. Nancy is here today. Florence went to Josephs.

| In 1875 Will's brother Jonathan Smith and his wife Lepha McConnell lived on the NorthWest corner with their son Victor and other children. This is the intersection of Seymour Hill Road and Ritz Road/Gardener Hollow. In later years Victor lived here and the name of the intersection, Vic's Corners, was from him. No buildings remain.
