[Cemetery is in bad shape. All of the stones are on the ground and many if not most are broken. It is in an area, which is open to cows, and evidence suggests they have frequently visited it in the past. All of the stones in this cemetery date to the 1800’s.]

Lent Burial Ground
August 2007
Dear Joyce,
It has been a while since I did anything with the cemeteries in Lamb's Creek, but I did get a reading on the Lent gravestones.
The DOUBLE GRAVE that is by the wash-off hillside area read this way:
HATTIE A.
Dau. of
JF & C Lent
died
Dec. 5, 1880
Age 2 yr. 5 m. ....(I couldn't read the days)
INFANT DAUGHTER
DIED
Oct. 26, 1887
Budded on Earth
Bloom in Heaven
The OTHER GRAVE read:
FLORA M.
dau. of
LH & Cora I
LENT
Sept. 18, 1884
Age 3 yrs. 11 m. 25 days
Thanks, Mary MILLER Nance

In a message dated 5/2/2008 1:06:21 PM Eastern Standard Time,
Hi Joyce
Just a short note,to let you know I'm still around. This morning
while turkey hunting I came upon a small cemetery, completely overgrown and
neglected,I'm guessing possibly 5 or 6 grave sites. The only stone that I was
able to read was of Hattie Lent, the daughter of J.F. and C. Lent, she died in
1880,the rest of the dates I couldn't make out.
I got back home and went into your site and found the marriage
of James F. Lent and Celestia Smith of Lambs creek on Nov.29th 1876,so Hattie
was probably under the age of 4.
This cemetery is on the Lambs creek road, just before the
Mitcheltree road,approx.100 yds into the woods. It's full of
multiflora rose.
Just wanted to share this with you, take care.
