Dear Joyce,
In searching for the grave of my great grandmother's brother, William H.
McCutcheon, I found him listed in the Chemung Village Cemetery listing
on your Chemung County Site. Listed with him is his wife, Sarah Ann
PRATT McCutcheon. The listing of her name is Sarah H. McCutcheon
instead of Sarah A. McCutcheon. I have a copy of William and Sarah's
marriage certificate and documents submitted by her daughter, Etta M.
Beers, for reimbursement for final expenses for the burial of her mother
as William was severely wounded in the Civil War and received a
pension. Upon his death in 1914, Sarah applied for and received a
pension and was entitled to burial expenses. In all of these documents
she is listed as Sarah Ann.

Hello again;
    I am Barbara Lovell Winter, Horseheads, New York. I am and have been trying (again) to find my Lovell ancestors. But, I finally realized something I should have noticed some time ago. My Mom and Dad are both buried in the Chemung Cemetry next to my brother, Kenneth A. Lovell. The following is the information on them so maybe sometime they can be included in the cemetry list.
    Harold L. Lovell - nickname: "Spike" - 1894-1988
    Helen M. Lovell - nickname: "Hester" - 1889- 1978

I'm sorry I didn't notice this before but guess the "trees were too close to the forest".

Hi Barbara, They are not on the list because the list was done prior to their death. We have not had a current reading for that cemetery for many years and need more local volunteers to make that happen. The Boyds did a lot of listings in the 1970s, and many of our cemetery lists have not been redone since then. I can add your note at the end but can not include it on a 1972 listing. We try to maintain some status of current by adding obituaries to the obit pages, so if you have those, that would be good to type up and send in. Thanks, Joyce M. Tice

McCutcheon, I found him listed in the Chemung Village Cemetery listing on your Chemung County Site. Listed with him is his wife, Sarah Ann PRATT McCutcheon. The listing of her name is Sarah H. McCutcheon instead of Sarah A. McCutcheon. I have a copy of William and Sarah's marriage certificate and documents submitted by her daughter, Etta M. Beers, for reimbursement for final expenses for the burial of her mother as William was severely wounded in the Civil War and received a pension. Upon his death in 1914, Sarah applied for and received a pension and was entitled to burial expenses. In all of these documents she is listed as Sarah Ann. Les Freeman
