Joyce,
Here's an interesting photo from our family archives.
It is a photo of Nellie Mallinson with her daughter Lettie at the time
of Lettie's birth. She was born in Westfield, at Dr. Bottums Private Hospital.
She was kept in the incubator and forced fed with a medicine dropper. This
was in 1898 and she was premature and between 6 & 7 mos.

Thanks so much for posting the pictures of the Tioga Co. Pa incubator
baby. These are pictures of my husband's mother. Until Esther
e-mailed these to me yesterday my husband had never seen them. He
heard about this from his mother. His mother died in June 1961.
We did read an article on this in the Westfield Free Press.
