Tioga County-We the subscribers being the Board of Supervisors of the said County do Certify the preceeding to be a true copy of the original Assessment Roll taken and returned by the assessors of the town of New Town in the said County, And that we have this day Issued one Warrant to John Durham Collector of the said Town, requiring him to collect from the several persons named in the said Assessment Roll, the following sums Forty Five Dollars and fifty cents and to pay the same to the overseers of the Poor of the said Town for the use of the poor thereof.  Also the sum of Two Hundred and Eight Dollars and forty six cents and to pay the same to the Supervisors of the said Town for town expences, and the further sum of Six Hundred and Ninety Dollars and ninety cents and to pay the same to the Treasurer of the said County for the Contingint Charges thereof.  Given under our hand this Sixteenth day of October 1801. An account of the names of the several persons hereafter mentioned charged with taxes for the year one thousand eight hundred and one which remain due and unpaid, and upon deligent enquiry made by John Durham Collector for the Town of Newtown he has not been able to discover any goods or Chattels belonging to or in the possession of either of the said persons charged with or liable to pay said respective sums whereon he could levy the same.

Tioga County State of New York, February 1st 1802.  Personally appeared before me David Pixley, Treasurer of this County, John Durham, Collector for the Town of New Town and made Solemn Oath that there is due from the Non Resident properties in his Collection List of Taxes the sum of Four Hundred Thirty Four Dollars and thirty cents and that from diligent enquiry he is not able to find any property whereon to levy and collect the sum or any part thereof.
