1960 view of Mansfield High School. Front section , formerly
the gym - converted to auditorium, was built about 1927 attached to the
old Brick School. In 1939, the Brick School was torn down and the new school
built surrounding the central gym. The 1939 section on left became
the Junior High School in the fall of 1959, and the High School is the
new part on the right. |

Timothy (Tim) Case [No Photo]
Tim Was born September 25th, 1957 in Sharon, North Dakota. He
died on December 31, 2008. Tim was raised in Pennsylvania and graduated
with honors from Mansfield High School in Mansfield, Pa. He moved
shortly thereafter to Texas and started his career as an electrician, later
becoming a superintendent for
many companies in the Houston and surrounding areas as well as
throughout many states. He was well respected in this field and was
a great teacher to many young electricians that worked under him.
KRINER, Mark E. (SRGP 78600)
Age 47, of Mansfield, diedon Friday, May 23, 2003 at Robert Packer
Hospital, Sayre. Born May 12, 1956 in Blossburg, he was the son of Wilford
and Alverta Payne Kriner. Friends are invited to call at the Scureman Funeral
Home, Inc., Mansfield on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25. Services
will be held Sunday with Rev. Kirk Smethers and Rev. George Ogden officiating.
Burial was made at Roseville Cemetery.
Mark E. Kriner, 47 (SRGP 78600)
Mark E. Kriner, age 47, of Mansfield, Pa., diedon Friday, May 23, 2003,
at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. He was born on May 12, 1956,
in Blossburg, Pa., a son of Wilford and Alverta (Payne) Kriner. Mark
was a member of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing
and the great outdoors. Mark was a wrestling and baseball coach with the
Mansfield schools for many years. He loved pony pulling and was a member
of the New York State Pony Pullers Association and the River Valley Pony
Pullers Association. Mark enjoyed stock car racing and participating
in demolition derbies in the area. He made maple syrup and was a member
of the Pennsylvania Maple Syrup Producers. Mark married the former
Luanne Bartlett on Sept. 14, 1974, at Canoe Camp Church of Christ and together
they raised three sons. Mark is survived by his wife, Luanne Bartlett Kriner,
at home; his sons and their spouses, Jason and Billie Jo Kriner of ZMansfield,
Dave and Emily Kriner of Mansfield, and Gary and Evelyn Martin Kriner of
Williamsport; four grandchildren; his parents, Wilford and Alverta (Payne)
Kriner of Covington, Pa.; his brothers and sister-in-law, Lynn Kriner and
Elwin and Michele Kriner both of Covington. Friends are invited to call
at the Scureman Funeral Home Inc., 130 S. Main St., Mansfield, Pa., on
Saturday, May 24, 2003, from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, May 25, from 1
to 2 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral
home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kirk Smethers and the Rev. George Ogden officiating.
Burial will be Roseville Cemetery.
MASE - Rod Andrew Mase, age 44, of Mansfield, PA, died Saturday, October
27, 2001 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Rod
was born on March 25, 1957 in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Richard and Ruth
Whittaker Mase. He was a member of the VFW Post #6757 in Mansfield, PA
and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Rod is survived by two sisters, Rosemary
A. Mase of Covington, PA and Annette Gaugler of Mansfield, PA; a brother,
Roy Alan Mase; three nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death
by a sister, Rene' Mase. Friends are invited to call on Thursday, November
1, 2001 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel,
537 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately
following the calling hour at 11:00 a.m at the funeral home with the Rev.
Dr. James Bellamy, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be directed to the Rene' Mase Scholarship Memorial Fund, 73 West Wellsboro

OWLETT, John Brent - J. (ohn) Brent Owlett 60 years of age passed
away on December 26, 2017 in Painted Post NY after an extended illness.
He was born on June 22,1957 in Wellsboro PA the son John and Coralee (Justin)
Owlett. He was certified as a Mining Technologist by Penn State University.
He received a B.S. in Geography from Mansfield University. He also completed
an extensive computer programming course before being employed by Pepsi
Bottling Works in Elmira NY. Brent is survived by his mother Coralee
Owlett, a sister Kristi Owlett,four nieces, Stephanie (Kevin Erdner) Coly,
Carrie (Jonathan) Williams, Amber Fuller, Jessica (Jesse) Zirkle; one great
niece, and four great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John

Andrew Packer, 43, of Mansfield died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Williamsport
Hospital, Williamsport. Born Aug. 28, 1957, m Wellsboro, he was the son
of Walter Hawyard and Alice (VanNess,) Packer. Preceding him in death was
his father, Walter. Surviving are his mother, Alice, three brothers, Walter
H. Packer of Gillett, James G. Packer of Covington and Richard B. Packer
of Mainesburg, three sisters and brother-in-law, Elaine A. Packer of Mansfield,
Linda J. Tremante of Morris Run and Lee Ann and Kevin Jackson of Blossburg,
and several aunts and uncles A graveside service will be held at the Roseville
Community Cemetery, Roseville, on Thursday, Jan 18, at 11 a.m., with the
Rev Howard T. Woodruff officiating Arrangements are under the direction

He was an avid bowler. Born July 24, 1953, in Elmira, NY, the son
of Robert D. and Dorothy Sherman.
