Schools - Bradford County, Pennsylvania

Biddle School, Armenia Township 1920s

My grandfather, John Andrew Morrow (Andy), was the Superintendent of Schools
in Bradford County for many years.  Under his staff's direction, many of the
old one-room school houses were closed as the county consolidated into larger
high schools.   I have inherited from him, about 2 dozen negatives of pictures
of those schools. Bill Benson

stove in center of room. The Biddle District of Armenia has also, at
other times, been called the Moore District. It is on the far west border of
Armenia Township, bordering Tioga County. I added a map below
scanned form the 1869 Bradford County Atlas. Joyce M. Tice
