You are doing a great job with your web site. It has been a real help to me in tracing my family back to my roots.
On your page with the Covington School picture with all of the people in front of the school house the man on the far left in the front row is my father Professor Don Hughes? He is also in the picture of the class of 1925. He is the man fourth from the Left in the back row. He was principal there twice first in 1922 to 1926 and again in 1944. He was born in 1897 went to a one room school on Button Hill in Tioga Township. The year after he finished school he returned to teach. I thank that his uncles and aunts-all twelve of them-figured that they would keep it in the family. After teaching the family for a while He went to Mansfield Normal School. There he waited on tables in the dinning hall to pay for his room and board. He then received his BS. Degree from Penn State and masters degree from Columbia University. He work on his Doctors Degree but in 1932 had no money to publish his thesis.
