Andrew Ambrose Callahan was most likely the man who had gotten Tioga County in an industrious state, in the eighteen hundreds... Born in Cedar Run in 1868, his father and fathers father all lived in and around Tioga County. He started out in Slate Run, Cedar Run, Leetonia, Blackwell and Tiadaghton as a logger. Then he moved to an area of farm land that he developed on the Rattler Mine Road,  where he had built there, three homes, four barns and his own saw mill. He married Nellie May Irene Boatman in 1888, they had nine children. He lived and farmed there until the late thirties. The above picture was one of his ventures, selling lumber from his mill, meat from his farms, milking machines and insurance around the township. The Boatman school, Don't know too much about it other than some of Andrews  off spring went there, can remember my Mother talking about it. After, finally securing a home in Draper, where he lived out his life. Died in Sept, 1949.

I can remember Grampa, I used to make him mad.
