Dear Joyce -I'm working on bringing Hakes family hist up to date - came
across your srgp photos page showing my grampa Bill Hakes and below that
family photo is one of Aunt Lena & Aunt Frankie with "mother Aletta
TICE est. date 1887" - since Aunt Lena was born in 1887, & since she
appears to be 6-7 yrs old could this photo have been taken closer to 1893-4?
Also, my picture of Lettie (mom's grandmother) shows Lettie as a fairly
larger than woman in the photo with the girls -could the woman with the
girls have been their grandmother Amanda(Amanda died in their home appx
1894) -my mom used to go to the Tice Family reunions with her mom &
dad William H. and Georgia Mary Plowman Hakes. I am dedicating my hist
to my mom and you because of her help and your wonderful history work -
