 She married twice.  She married Leander R. Austin 20 FEB 1878 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Mansfield Advertiser 27th Feb 1878 gives marriage of L.R. Austin and Nettie Smith (s/b/ Mittie) of Mainesburg on Feb 20. (Leander R. Austin is #5961.)

 Leander was born 28 JUN 1831 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Leander was the son of Alvin Bolivar Austin and Sarah Drinkwater Rumsey.  He married Rebecca Brown * or Rumsey?.  Leander died 19 OCT 1893 in Mainesburg, Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 62.  Brief obituary in Sullivan scrapbook - died of typhoid- Enter all data from obituary. Lived in Allentown PA?  Was photographer when he died.

 His body was interred OCT 1893 in Mainesburg Cemetery, Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.   Leander was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Mainesburg Borough, Farmer. Webster Wilson age 8 and William Furman age 18 also in housheold, not yet identified.

 Leander was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Mainesburg Borough, a merechant.

 She married Frank Dailey * ABT 1906.  (Frank Dailey* is #8530.)  Frank was born 30 Jun 1846.

 Mittie was listed in a directory in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1899.   Austin Melissa E (Mainesburg) r 41, widow Leander R, farm 63, h and lot

      Melissa E. Smith and Leander R. Austin had the following child:

      2  i.  Ethel L.2 Austin (#6371) was born 10 FEB 1892.  She married James W. Kennedy 02 MAR 1917.  (James W. Kennedy is #19070.)  James was the son of Elmer Kennedy and Minnie Straighton*.
