 He married twice.  He married Maryan Penvose * before 1875 in England.  (Maryan Penrose* is #33081.)  Maryan was born 1851 in England.  Maryan died 28 Mar 1884 Antrim, Duncan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 32.  Her body was interred Mar 1884 in Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  He married Elizabeth Wilkins 12 MAR 1885.  (Elizabeth Wilkins is #9930.)

 Elizabeth was born 1869 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Elizabeth was the daughter of George W. Wilkins and Amanda A. Horton.  Elizabeth died 29 MAY 1920 at age 50.  Her body was interred MAY 1920 in Prospect Cemetery, Mansfield, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  no confirmation that there in one Elizabeth Wilkins. Age is close enough to assume it is the same. Need verification.

      Thomas Bolt and Maryan Penrose* had the following children:

      2  i.  Thomas John2 Bolt (#33082) was born in England 20 Mar 1875.  A John Bolt born 1873 is in file near number 7617. Same? Other John has other parents. Check on it. Of Los Angeles CA in 1936.
      3  ii.  Rachell J. Bolt (#33083) was born in England 25 Jan 1878.  She married Morris Jones*.  (Morris Jones* is #33086.)  Of Elmira NY in 1936.
      4  iii.  William Edward Bolt (#33084) was born in England 02 Dec 1879.  William died 1920 at age 40.
      5  iv.  Alice Bolt (#33085) was born in England 11 SEP 1881.  Alice died 22 SEP 1960 at age 79.  She married George S. Gardner*.  (George S. Gardner* is #33087.)  He resided in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1908.   Laborer, Mainesburg PO
    Alice, as George S. Gardner*'s wife, resided with him in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1908.   Laborer, Mainesburg PO Of Stanley NY in 1936.

 Thomas Bolt and Elizabeth Wilkins had the following children:

    6  v.  Amanda May Bolt (#10335) was born 21 JAN 1886.  Individual flags: Photograph.  Amanda died 26 MAR 1957 at age 71.  Her body was interred MAR 1957 in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  She married Homer Ripley Austin 2 JUL 1908 in Lawrenceville, Lawrence Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  (Homer Ripley Austin is #10334.)  Homer was born 10 JAN 1887.  Homer was the son of Nickolas P. Austin and Sarah Louise Morgan.  Homer died 15 FEB 1918 in Waco, Texas, at age 31.  His body was interred FEB 1918 in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  Homer died in service in World War I. He died of pneumonia and measles.
      7  vi.  Clarisa Bolt (#33080) was born 22 Sep 1887.  Clara died 1948 at age 60.  She married Noel Andrew Cleveland.  (Noel Andrew Cleveland reference C14939)  (Noel Andrew Cleveland is #30907.)  Noel was born 9 FEB 1884 in Covington, Covington Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Noel was the son of Andrew Vernon Cleveland and Lucina Plumley Cleveland.  He resided in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1908.   Farmer, Covington PO
    Clara, as Noel Andrew Cleveland's wife, resided with him in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1908.   Farmer, Covington PO Of Lawrenceville in 1936. All of Clarissa's children died before they were married.
      8  vii.  George Grover Bolt (#32801) was born 17 Jun 1892.  George died 18 May 1972 at age 79.  Of Granville Summit, PA in 1936.
      9  viii.  Edward Franklin Bolt (#4745) was born in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 06 APR 1895.  Individual flags: WW I; Obituary; Soc.Sec..  Edward died 02 JAN 1981 in Florida, at age 85.  His body was interred JAN 1981 in State Road Cemetery, Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  He married Hazel May Seymour 17 JUL 1919.  (Hazel May Seymour reference B1.125171113)  (Hazel May Seymour is #4744.)  Hazel was born 12 APR 1891 in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Hazel   was the daughter of Clayton Harry Seymour and Lucy Minetta Welch.  Hazel died 14 MAY 1978 in Edgewater, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, at age 87.   Her body was interred MAY 1978 in State Road Cemetery, Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.   Hazel was a Post Office Clerk and Office Worker in a hospital. She worked on the genealogy of the Seymour line following in the footsteps of her mother, who worked on the Welches. Edward was a farmer and he had performed military service during World War I. He lived in Mainesburg, PA.
      10  ix.  Edith Mildred Bolt (#33076) was born in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 9 FEB 1898.  Edith died 6 AUG 1983 at age 85.  She married Jess Collum*.  (Jess Collum* is #33088.)  Of Corning NY in 1936.
      11  x.  Ernest Milton Bolt (#8521) was born in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania 06 MAR 1900.  Individual flags: Soc.Sec..  Ernest died 1976 in Cherry Flats, Charleston Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 76.  His body was interred 1976 in State Road Cemetery, Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  He married Ruth Austin.  (Ruth Austin is #8520.)

 Ruth was born 27 FEB 1902.  Ruth was the daughter of Archibald N. Austin and Cora Belle Slingerland.  Ruth died 8 AUG 1990 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, at age 88.  Her body was interred AUG 1990 in State Road Cemetery, Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  Ruth's obituary lists her mother as Cora Slingerland. Earlier informatin indicated Jennie Orvis was her mother. Are her brothers then half brothers? Ernest lived in Covington PA.
      12  xi.  Rev. Orey M. Bolt (#24368) was born 03 Jan 1908.  Orey died 22 Feb 1983 at age 75.  He married Lois Isabell Case 28 Aug 1929.  (Lois Isabell Case reference LR 910)  (Lois Isabell Case is #24366.)  Lois was born 12 Aug 1905 in Troy, Troy Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  Lois is the daughter of Gordon Case* and Jennie Maynard.  Rev. Bolt was of Mansfield, PA. An Orey Bolt b. 03 JAN 1908, SS# 063-18-0160 issued in NY died Feb. 1983 in Inverness, Citrus County, Florida 32650. Of Randolph NY in 1936.
      13  xii.  Evelyn Bolt (#33067) was born 30 Jul 1911.  Individual flags: Obituary.  Evelyn died 02 Oct 1992 in Arnot Ogden Hospital, Elmira, Chemung County, New York, at age 81.  Her body was interred 05 Oct 1992 in Elmira, Chemung County, New York.  She married Fred Joseph Kingsley*.  (Fred Joseph Kingsley* is #33068.)  Fred died 1972 at age unknown.  Evelyn was a registered nurse and had retired from Arnot Ogden Hospital. She lived in Elmira Heights, NY at the time of her death.

Hi Joyce,
I hadn't visited your site for awhile so was nicely surprised to see the info on the Bolt family, especially the photo of Thomas, Elizabeth & daughter Amanda. My interest is the Penvose family, Mary Ann Penvose was the 1st wife of Thomas Bolt. Her name was spelled incorrectly in his obituary. Mary Ann's brothers settled first in Tioga Co., upon immigration from England, but later moved to Clearfield & Jefferson Counties. Just wanted to thank you for sharing the photo!
