The occasion was a special dinner honoring seven charter members and fifteen 25-year members.  Charter members honored were James Eastman, Frank Cook, E.D. Manchester, W.K. Frisbie, Mrs. Lulu Manchester, Mrs. Addie Snyder and Darley Cowles.  25-year members honored included Harold Russell, "Grandma" Sarah Smith, Clayton Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gorham, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Frisbie, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Eastman, and Mrs. Calesta Shultz.
A covered dish dinner was served at noon and at 1:30 the program was opened by Roe Russell Jr., the master, who welcomed all the guests, and conducted the opening ritual.  Group singing was led by Mrs. Rulison Green of LeRaysville.  Carlyle Russell took over as master of ceremonies for the occasion and kept things lively.  There was a recitation, "A Boy and His Stomach" by Levi Frisbie and a song "If Jesus Came to Your House" by Elizabeth and Connie Cragle.  Maurice Hunt played a harmonica solo, "Whispering" and there were several accordian trio numbers by Donald Ammerman, Faye Marie Chandler and Leatrice Russell.  Carl Moore Sr., a skilled artist, gave a chalk talk that held close attention.  The meeting closed with the grange's "Friendship Circle" in which all stand and clasp hands as they sing.
