1. Albert Jerome1 Stilwell, son of Frank Stephen Stilwell and
Flora Elizabeth Gaige, (#2574) was born in Jackson Township, Tioga County,
Pennsylvania 7 SEP 1895. Individual flags: Obituary; Newspaper; WW1.
Albert died 24 MAY 1937 in Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania,
at age 41. Obituary: Albert J. Stilwell, 42, died at the family home
on the Rover Road, Mansfield, Monday, May 24, 1937 of double pneumonia.
He was born in Jackson Township Sept. 7, 1895, the son of Frank and Flora
Gaige Stilwell. He removed to Mansfield in 1913. In 1917 he enlisted at
Fort Wr..,Washington, D.C. in Aviation Squadron, 481, Company D. He was
honorably discharged in 19.. He was married to Miss Gladys Mudge on Aug.
9, 1921. Mr. Stilwell was employed by the Dairymans' League and for the
last two years had been manager of the Neal Chicken Farm. He was a member
of Austin-Cox Post American Legion. Besides his wife he leaves six children,
Clarice, Lois, Arthur, Merle, Donald, and Nineta. His body was interred
26 MAY 1937 in Prospect Cemetery, Mansfield, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

He married Gladys Asenath Mudge 9 AUG 1921 in Mansfield, Richmond
Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. (Gladys Asenath Mudge is #2573.)
Gladys was born 29 NOV 1899 in Mansfield, Richmond Township, Tioga County,
Pennsylvania. Gladys was the daughter of Orris Eugene Mudge and Dorcas
Lucinda Monro. Gladys died 02 OCT 1989 in Broad Acres, Wellsboro,
Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at age 89. Her body was interred 5 OCT
1989 in Prospect Cemetery, Mansfield, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
A few days after Gladys and Albert were married they left by train for
South Dakota where they lived until the fall of 1924. At that time they
returned to Mansfield. In western South Dakota, they lived on a ranch owned
by Albert's uncle. Newspaper: Mudge-Stilwell - A very pretty home wedding
took place Tuesday evening at eight o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Orris Mudge when their daughter Gladys was united in marriage to Albert
Stilwell of Kadoka, South Dakota, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stilwell of
this place. The bride was attired in a dress of white georgette over satin
and carried a large bouquet of bridal roses. The ring ceremony was used
and performed by Rev. C. D. Purdy of the Methodist Church, after which
a wedding luncheon was served to the following quests; Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Stilwell, Richard Stilwell, Mr. and Mrs. Orris Mudge, Earl, Cole, Eldridge
and Lorena Mudge, Mr. and Mrs. John Schautz, Mrs. Jennie White, Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Munson, Mabel Benson, and Rachel Bowen. Mr. andMrs.
Stilwell have the best wishes of a host of friends. Mrs. Stilwell is a
very popular young lady, being a graduate of the Mansfield High School
and active in church and social functions. Mr. Stilwell is engaged in farming
in South Dakota where they will soon go to make their home.

Clarice died 11 MAR 2003 in Mansfield, Richmond Township, Tioga County,
Pennsylvania, at age 77. EVANS
Clarice S. Age 77, of Mansfield, PA, passed away
March 11, 2003 at home, following a courageous battle with cancer. She
was born April 6, 1925 in Mansfield, PA, the daughter of Albert and
Gladys Mudge Stilwell. Clarice was a retired Mansfield University Librarian.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield, a life
member of the Tioga County Historical Society, the Mansfield Free Public
Library 1901 Society, and a rug-braiding group. Clarice took great interest
in her family, traveling and genealogy. She acted as a mentor for many
area residents interested in genealogy. Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband
of 55 years, Leslie; a daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Bruce Hustead
of Frederick, MD; a sister, Ninita (Bryce) Jones of Millerton, PA; three
brothers, Arthur Stilwell of Painted Post, NY, Merle (Eleanor) Stilwell
of Indiana, PA, Donald (JoAnn) Stilwell of Millerton, PA; a granddaughter,
Christy (Don) Barnes of Oviedo, FL; and two great-grandchildren,
Maddie and Max Barnes. She was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law,
Nancy and Michael Sabo; a sister, Lois Wilcox; and a sister-in-law,
Mary Ann Stilwell. Friends are invited to call at the Gary Wilston Funeral
Home, 18 N. Main St., Mansfield, PA, Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
Funeral services will be held there Saturday, at 11 a.m. with Revs. Richard
Berg and Eugene Charskyofficiating. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial
Gardens. Memorial contributions in Clarice's memory may be made to the
Laurel Home Health Hospice, 24 Walnut St., Wellsboro, PA 16901. Note -
Clarice was born in the same building from which her funeral was held.
The Wilston Funeral Home, earlier the Shaw & Robena Funeral Home, had
been a hospital at the time of Clarice's birth. She married Leslie David
Evans 28 MAY 1947 in Mansfield, Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

Leslie is the son of David Conrad Evans and
Bernice Juanita Cruttenden. He graduated from Mansfield High School
in Mansfield, Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania JUN 1944.
Leslie graduated from Mansfield State Teachers College in Mansfield, Richmond
Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania JUN 1949. Leslie graduated from
Penn State University in State College, Centre County, Pennsylvania 1954.
She graduated from Mansfield High School in Mansfield,
Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania JUN 1943. Clarice graduated
from Mansfield State Teacher's Colleg in Mansfield, Richmond Township,
Tioga County, Pennsylvania 1947. Clarice graduated from S.U.N.Y.
Geneseo in Geneseo,,New York 1974.
3 ii. Lois Florence Stilwell
(#2658) was born in Mansfield, Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania
28 APR 1928. Lois died 22 NOV 1986 in Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania,
at age 58. She married John Edwin Wilcox* 25 Mar 1947 in Mansfield,
Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. (John Edwin Wilcox*
is #2659.) John was born 14 Jul 1922.
4 iii. Arthur Jerome Stilwell
(#2666) was born in Mansfield, Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania
. He married twice. He married Judy Swisher* 30 JUN 1956.
(Judy Swisher* is #2667.) Judy died 1958 at age unknown. He
married Mary Ann Lanahan* 01 Feb 1964. (Mary Ann Lanahan* is #2668.)
Mary was born 14 May 1939.
5 iv. Merle Eugene Stilwell

. He married Eleanor Lorraine Seely* 09 Aug 1955. (Eleanor

6 v. Donald Leigh Stilwell
(#2681) was born in Mansfield, Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania
. He married Jo Ann Bowen 31 MAY 1957. (Jo Ann Bowen is #2682.)
Jo was born 22 JAN 1937. Jo is the daughter of Mr. ? Bowen and Ruby

7 vi. Ninita Irene Stilwell
