OPEN HOUSE SET TO FETE SMITHS ON GOLDEN DATE
The children of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd W. Smith of Mansfield, Pa.
are inviting relatives and friends to attend an open house in celebration
of their parent's 50th wedding anniversary. The open house is being held
on the Smiths' actual golden wedding date, this Sunday, Sept. 23, 1984
from 2 to 6 pm. Boyd and E. Pearl Van Dusen were married in Savona, NY
on Sept. 23, 1934, 50 years ago this coming Sunday. The couple have five
children, including: Norma Mattison and William Smith, both of Wellsboro;
Thomas Smith of Troy and Beverly Staron and Edwin Smith, both of Miami,
Florida. They have 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Smith
is a retired Mansfield State College Maintenance Department employee and
Mrs. Smith is a homemaker. A money tree will be provided.
