The Dams that were built in Tioga County in the 1970s caused the destruction
of large land areas. Among the losses were several cemeteries and many
houses and other buildings. Many of the lost farms had long family histories.
In Nelson, many buildings were relocated, but many others in the area were
lost entirely. We hope to collect some of the photos of lost buildings
for this section of the site. Bruce's photo shown here inspired this new
section. If you have any send them to me in HIGH RESOLUTION JPG format.
Please do not be stingy with the pixels or I'll have to ask you to do it
over.Please include whatever history you have on the building and its residents
as well.

Attached is a picture of the house the Doud family (Norma, Walter, Bruce,
Brian,Vern, Delbert, Stephen) lived in until they had to move for the Tioga
Dam Project. Iit was located on the corner ot State route 15 and Kellytown
Road about one mile north of the Mansfield Borough limits in directon of
Lambs Creek
For many years, my dad sold honey from the stand on the corner.
I have really enjoyed your work.

Joyce,
Here is a picture of Lamb's Creek taken from a hill to the east and
south. The barn in the field to the fight is the Palmer barn.
My brother Vern used to work for Charles Palmer milking cows in that barn.
You can see the bridge over the river. It is still there today.

web. Jean Doud has the originals, these are scanned from copies of
them. They are before the Dam and after the dam.
