This commemorative marker for the Mexican War in the ONLY one I have found to date in searching - I can't tell you how many - but a  lot - of cemeteries. Surprisingly it is in a cemetery within two miles of where I lived at the time.

For a little bit of history with some drama to accompany it, I recently watched a movie called One Man's Hero about the Irish who had recently come to this country who fought in the Mexican War as a way to get quick citizenship. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good video to rent.
