Joyce,
Sons of the Revolution is not the same as SAR. Click here: ( http://www.amrev.org/)Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the Revolution. Now, if only we could figure out Daughters of the Revolution .......

I really enjoyed browsing through all the photos you've collected - and as a cemetery-lover, you answered a lot of questions I've had for a long time.
On http://www.rootsweb.com/~srgp/flaghold/flag067.htm, you ask if the Sons of
the Revolution are the same as the Sons of the American Revolution.
Someone else may well have answered your query by now, but just in case:
They're actually different organizations. The SAR (http://www.sar.org) is
headquartered in Louisville, KY, and the SR (http://www.sr1776.org) is
headquartered in New York City. The SAR is, I understand, somewhat larger
than the SR, though both groups' eligibility requirements are essentially
the same.
Hope this helps! Keep up the great work.
