Since finding and identifying the markers for this entertainment industry union, I see the logo at the end of every movie. Look for it. The notes below are from site guests who helped me identify this marker.
You can link to the site for this organization at International

Just one quick check through Infoseek search engine revealed: International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees http://www.iatse.lm.com/ The IATSE is the labor union representing technicians, artisans and craftspersons in the entertainment industry, including live theatre, film and television production. I have seen the MPMO within the site and even in a pay scale site but have not found what they stand for - Moving Picture Management and Operations? Nor have I found the Union 396. Since you didn't list where this marker was, I didn't go into any of the other union links listed. |

Found this http://www.hr.msu.edu/Depts/comp/temptitles.htm listing temp titles for hire: (MSU - Michigan State Univ)
Stage Hand
Provides assistance during non-academic theater and stage presentations
as a carpenter, property person, electrician, moving picture machine operator,
grip, lamp operator, rigger, and/or related theater and stage functions.
Incumbents in this title are recognized as members of IATSE & MPMO
Local 274 and are to be paid according to the bargained for wage schedule.

I hope you have been able to discover that MPMO is for Motion Picture
Machine Operators-also known as Projectionists. Many Projectionist Locals
have been merged or disbanded due to the Nat'l. trend toward using non
Union employees in the booth. Most cinema chain owners don't see the value
of skilled craftsmen running and caring for their films and equipment.
It's too bad for both the Projectionists and the filmgoers. Local 15 represents
Stage Technicians and Projectionists in Seattle WA.
