William Knox, b. 6 May 1768 d. 1838 Acedemy Corners Pa. bur. unmarked grave in Carpenter Cemetery, Deerfield Twp. Tioga Co. m. 1790 Margaret Colton. He, I believe was first of this branch in Pa. according to History of Tioga Co.

NEXT GENERATION William Knox Jr. was a Hotel keeper in Deerfield Two. reportedly Knoxville was named for him and his brother Archibald. he m. Have some information on next generations but not enough nor verified except for my grandmother who was Jannett Knox dau. of Franklin William and 2nd wife Catherine Johnson.
