I saw your e-mail from last spring to Joyce Tice regarding Julia CRUM?CRUMM/CRUMB/CROOMB (included below).

She is an ancestor of mine through a *very* collateral line that I've got sidetracked on since discovering Joyce's site by accident last month.

You'll be excited to know that there is extensive genealogies on both her father's line (David CRUMB) and mother (Elizabeth HOLTON).

For information on David CRUMB's genealogy, see this site:
see "Some Descendants of Daniel CRUMB" website at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~nanc/crumb/

This isn't "my" line and I therefore haven't validated any of that information.

I am related collaterally to Elizabeth HOLTON.  Another researcher, Su Floyd, and I have recently determined conclusively that David's wife Elizabeth is descended from the HOLTONs in a little tiny town in England called Tingewick in Buckinghamshire.

Su maintains a fabulous  site called "The People of Tingewick" at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~tingewick/.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Thomas HOLTON.  You will find his family sheet here:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~tingewick/f4438.htm

The "CROOMB" female you see on this page is now known to be Martha CRUMB, the sister of "your" Elizabeth.  She married David's twin brother Arnold.  You won't (yet) see Martha or her sister Elizabeth on Thomas' family sheet yet (it hasn't been updated) but we are certain of the relationship from census info in PA.  There seems to be at least four distinct HOLTON families from Tingewick that immigrated to this area of Pennsylvania (Thomas, b. 1794 came first, followed by two of his nephews, Thomas and James, and a grand-neice Eliza Cadd).

I am a descendant of Thomas' brother James (the father of the James and Thomas and grandfather of Eliza that emigrated).  Su is a meticulous researcher and the information and conclusions on her site are reliable.

Su would love to have a gedcom of your Julia CRUMB descendants so that she can link it to your site.  If  you are willing, let me know and I'll put you in contact with her.

Happy hunting and hoping to hear from you soon!

Dear Joyce:
You are to be commended for your work in preparing all the information on your web site. I have found it to be most interesting and easy to navigate. Thank you.

I am a decendant of the Mitchell's from the Mitchell Creek, Mitchell's Mills, Tioga area. My mother was Julia Anna Mitchell, b 6/7/1899, d 5/9/1975, m Rex Farr 11/17/1915. Rex was born 7/5/1893, in Hammondtown, Tioga Co., PA died 9/2/1976 in Lawrenceville, Tioga Co., PA. They spent most of their lives in Lawrenceville Township, and had a farm where now Cowanesque Lake is. Julia was the daughter of Edward Rockwell Mitchell 1866-1944 and Mary Elizabeth Cunningham 1869-1929. Jackson Township, Mary Elizabeth Cunningham was the daughter of John C. Cunningham and Julia CRUMM or CRUMB. Edward Rockwell Mitchell was the son of George Washington Mitchell and Anna Rockwell.

In searching the cemeteries, I did not find some of my family listed as follows in Lawrenceville Cemetery:

Rex Farr 1893-1976, and Julia MITCHELL Farr 1899-1975, are buried in the Lawrenceville Cemetery, Lawrenceville, PA. They had two sons, Kenneth E. Farr b..1922.d.1925, and Melvin..b.1927.d.1927, both buried there also.

My father's parents, Andrew Jackson Farr b.1862........d.1918....... and Margaret Jane BROWN Farr b.1872.......d 1954.

My aunt and uncle, LeRoy C. Mitchell b.1892..d.1964, and Ruth V. FARR Mitchell....b.1898..d.1972.

LeRoy Mitchell and Julia Mitchell were brother and sister...
Rex Farr and Ruth V. Farr were brother and sister.

Thank you again for the great work that you do.

If you are not navigating this Tri-Counties Site via the left and right sidebars of the Current What's New page you are doing yourself a disservice. You can get to any place on the site easily by making yourself familiar with these subject and place topics. Try them all to be as familiar with the site's 16,000 plus pages as you can. Stop groping in the dark and take the lighted path. That's also the only way you'll find the search engines for the site or have access to the necessary messages I may leave for you. Make it easy on yourself.
