Last Will & Testament, 1125, of George Wilson
Late of Columbia, deceased.
I George Wilson of the township of Columbia, County of Bradford and
State of Pennsylvania do make & publish this my last will and testament
hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore and further
I that my body be decently interned under the direction of my Executor
hereinafter named. My worldly estate I dispose of as follows viz;
I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after
my decease as possible out of the first moneys that shall come into the
hands of my executors from any portion of my personal estate.
Second, I direct that all my personal estate be sold by my executors
as soon after my decease as may be convenient for them at public auction
or otherwise at their discretion and that the value there be realized by
them in money within one year after my decease, and that what shall remain
of such money after the payments of my debts, funeral expenses and the
expenses of settling my estate shall be paid by my children as follows
viz;
To my son William Wilson one hay harvesting and the residue in equal
shares to each of my other children viz;
Letetia wife of Hosea Canedy, Nancy wife of Laban Rockwell, John Wilson,
James Wilson, Orr Wilson, and Stephen F. Wilson, and I hereby give and
bequeath my personal estate as aforesaid.
Third, I give devise and bequeath unto my son James Wilson all that
certain piece or parcel of land sits late in the Township of Columbia aforesaid
& bounded as follows viz;
Beginning at a beech tree the Northwest Corner thereof thence east
one hundred and nineteen perches & three tenths of a perch to a ? /int.
Thence south fifty three perches & five tenths of a perch to a
post there, South ninety eight degrees west one hundred & fifty perches
to the highway, Thence north thirty nine degrees west forty five perches
to a post, Thence west one hundred & two perches & five tenths
of a perch to a post, Thence north twenty nine degrees east one hundred
& twenty three perches & five tenths of a perch to the highway
aforesaid, Thence north thirty six degrees east forty perches to a post,
Thence north seventy five perches and five tenths of a perch to the place
of beginning containing one hundred and fifty seven acres & thirty
one perches being the same land which was conveyed in three lots by Elihu
Carr on the 28th day of February AD 1849 to have & to hold the same
to the said James Wilson his heirs and assigns forever.
Fourth, I give devise & bequeath unto my son John Wilson all the
land situated adjoining to & in an easterly direction from the land
herein before advised to James Wilson which I hold any letter to or interest
in & of which the said John Wilson was in possession or occupancy on
the third day of July AD 1852 to have & to hold the same to the said
John Wilson his heirs & assigns forever.
Fifth, I give devise and bequeath unto my son William Wilson all that
certain lot piece or parcel of land in Columbia aforesaid containing one
hundred and thirteen acres which was conveyed to me by the right Rev. William
White and which is known as my old home farm, to have and to hold the same
to the said William Wilson his heirs & assigns forever, subject
however to the payment of the sum of Five hundred dollars which I hereby
direct to be paid by the said William Wilson to my executors within one
year after my decease.
Sixth, All the rest and residue of my real estate I direct to be sold
at public auction to the highest bidder by my executors for money within
one year after my decease and to effectually this my intention I do hereby
rest in my executors full power and authority to dispose of the real estate
be this clause of my will mentioned in fee simple in as full & large
a manner in every respect as I could myself do if living.
Seventh, I direct the proceeds of the sale of the real estate mentioned
in the sixth item or clause of this my will together with the sum of Five
hundred dollars herein before mentioned to be paid by my son William Wilson
shall be collected into one fund by my executors and I give and devise
and bequeath the same as follows viz;
To my son Stephen F. Wilson one thousand dollars thereof and the residue
thereof to my several children viz;
Letetia wife of Hosea Canedy, Nancy wife of Laban Rockwell, John Wilson,
William Wilson, James Wilson, Orr Wilson, and Stephen F. Wilson share and
share.
I do hereby make ordain constitute and appoint my son James Wilson
and friend Isaac Besley executors of this my last will and testament hereby
revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made & do disclose
this to be my last will & testament.
In witness whereof I have taken my last will and testament let my hand
and seal the eighth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand
and eight hundred and fifty six.

This writing contained in this that was signed and sealed by the above
named George Wilson by his published and declared as and for his last will
and testament in the presence of us who have heretofore subscribed our
names in his presence and in the presence of each other.
