THIS INDENTURE, Made the Ninth day
of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand Nine Hundred BETWEEN Ellen
B. Williams, James L. Linderman, Emma A. Williams, widow and devisee of
Ansel D. Williams decd, Jesse N. Williams and Kate V. Williams his wife;
Thomas W. Williams and Belle Williams his wife; Samuel A. Williams and
Louise Williams his wife; James Huntington and Minnie Huntington his wife;
Frances Anderson and James Z. Anderson and James Z. Anderson her husband;
Martha Porter McPhail and Malcolm McPhail her husband; Oliver A. Balmer
and Florence Y. Balmer his wife; William H. Balmer and Anna Balmer his
wife and Fred C. Balmer unmarried, widow and heirs at law of Phillip Williams
decd by their Attorney-in-fact, L. L. Bailey of the first part and Herman
T. Nash of Horton, West Virginia, party of the second part: WITNESSETH,
That the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the
sum of Two Thousand Dollars lawful money of the United States of America,
well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, to the said parties
of the first part at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents,
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained sold,
aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents
do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey, |
and confirm unto the said party of the second
part, his heirs and assigns, All that lot of land situate in the Township
of Rutland, county of Tioga and State of Pennsylvania, described as follows:
Beginning at a corner in the road in the line of John Smith lot; thence
along the road and Bennett Reynold’s lot, South eighty seven degrees East,
one hundred twenty-three and two tenths perches to a stake; thence by lands
of John Argetsinger South three degrees West, seventy and four tenths perches
to a stake, thence North eighty seven degrees West, twenty three and two
tenths perches to a stake; thence South three degrees West, seventy and
eight tenths perches to a stake; thence North eighty seven degrees West
one hundred perches to a stake, thence North three degrees East, one hundred
forty four and two tenths perches to the place of beginning. Containing
one hundred acres and fifty three perches more or less. |

Together with all and singular the
tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging, or in
anywise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders,
rents, issues and profits thereof and Also all the estate, right, title,
interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever, both in law and equity
of the said party of the first part, of, in, to or out of the said party
of the first part, of in, to or out of the said premises and every part
and parcel thereof. |

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises,
with all and singular the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second
part, his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of
the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. |

And the said parties of the first
part, by their Attorney-in-fact L.L. Bailey for themselves, their heirs,
executors and administrators, do by these presents, covenant, grant and
agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
that they the said parties of the first part, their heirs, all and singular
the hereditaments and premises herein above-described and granted, or mentioned
and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the
second part, his heirs and assign, against the said parties of the first
part and their heirs, and against all and every other person or persons,
whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof,
by through or under them, shall and will, by these presents, WARRANT AND
FOREVER DEFEND. |
