Last Will and Testament of Elijah Phillips deceased.
Register's Office, May 31, 1892, This day was presented an instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Elijah Phillips late of Shippen Township, Tioga County, Penna., deceased, as follows: viz:
I Elijah Phillips of the township of Shippen, Tioga County, Penna., being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following: to wit
First: I hereby revoke and declare null and void all and every will
by me at anytime heretofore made.
Second: I direct that all my just debts, and funeral expenses be fully
paid and discharge by my adopted son G, D, Phillips herein after named.
Third: I will and bequeath to my daughter Rosaltha Jones wife of Chas.
A. Jones one good cow.
Fourth: As to all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real,
personal or mixed and wheresoever situate, I will, devise and bequeath
the same and every part and parcel thereof to my adopted son, G. D. Phillips,
his heirs, and assigns.
Lastly: I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my said adopted son
G. D. Phillips, Executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 30 day
of April A.D. 1890.

The within and foregoing will was signed, sealed, published and declared
by Elijah Phillips, the testator therein named, as and for his last will
and testament in our presence, and we at his request, and in his presence
have hereto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses, this 30 day of
April 1890.

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Tioga County, ss:
This day before me, Homer J. Ripley, Register for the Probate of Wills
and Granting Letters of Administration in and for the County aforesaid,
personally came Wm. D. Gross and E. J. Playfoot the subscribing witnesses
to the foregoing will, who being duly sworn according to law, do say they
were present and saw and heard Elijah Phillips the testator sign, seal,
publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and
for his last will and testament and that at the time of so doing he was
od sound mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge
and belief. That said deponents signed their names as witnesses thereto
at the request of the testator in his presence and in the presence of each
other.

And now May 31, 1892, The foregoing Will is adjudged to be duly proved
as required by law, and is therefore recorded, filed and decreed to be
a valid Will and of force and effect as such.

Same day Affidavit filed showing that said decedent died at the home
of G. D. Phillips in Shippen aforesaid, on or about the 18th day of May
1892, at 12:30 o'clock A.M.
July 8, 1892 Report of Appraiser for Collateral Inheritance Tax filed.
