 It is hereby certified, That in conformity with the lawsof the United States,  Sephrona B.  Soper,  Widow of Jerome Soper, who was a private Co. K. 5 Regiment Iowa Vol Cav’y and  Co. C. Bracketts Battalion Minn. Vol. Cav’y.  is entitled to a pension under the provisions of the Act of June 27, 1890, at the rate of Eight dollars per month, to commence onthe fifth day of Aprill 1900, and to continue during her widowhood unless she shall forfeit her right thereto .  And she is also entitiled to two dollars per month  additional for each of the following named childredn while living and under the age of sixteen years:

 Cora F.  commencing April 5, 1900 - sixteen April 13, 1901

Given at the Department of the Interior this thirteenth day of December one thousand nine hundred and the Independence of the United States of America the one hundred and twenty fith

  Herewith is enclosed supplemental certificate increasing your pension to $20 per month under the Act of September 8, 1916, from the date therein given,  You are requested to securely attach it to your pension cerficicate  which you will please keep in your possession.  The increase of pension due thereon to the date to whcih you were last paid amounts to 6.93.  A check for that amount will be mailed to  you at an early date.

Pursuant to Sectiion 1 of the Act of Congress approved by the President, September 8, 1916, granting increase of pension of a widow who was the wife of a soldier:  sailor or marine during the period of his service in the Civil War, or who is the widow of a soldier, sailor or marine who served in the Civil War, the War with Mexico, or the War of 1823, and who has reached the age of 70 ears, the pension in the above-described case is increased to $20 per month, commensing September 8, 1916.

Your pension is increased to $25 per month from October 6, 1917, by the Act of Congress approved on that date.
