The Last Will and Testament of
SARAH HUGHES
Late of Blossburg formerly of Liberty
I Sarah Hughes of the Boro of Blossburg, County of Tioga and the State of Pennsylvania-widow- being of sound mind and memory and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.
I direct that my body be decently interred in the Sebring Cemetery in the township of Liberty County and State aforesaid according to the rites and ceremonies of the Methodist Episcopal Church and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life.
And first- I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my executors as soon after my decease as they can realize the means to do so.
Second- I give bequeath and devise to my six living children to wit Patience MCCLELLAN, Richard HUGHES, Josiah HUGHES and Jane HUTCHINSON, Nathan HUGHES and Prudence PASSMORE, each a one seventh part of all my real and personal estate of every nature and description and the remaining one seventh of all my said estate I give bequeath and devise to the ten living children of my deceased daughter Elizabeth EDWARDS, share and share alike.
Lastly- I nominate constitute and appoint my two sons Josiah Hughes and Richard Hughes the executors of this my last will and testament
In witness whereof I Sarah Hughes the testatrix have to this my will written on one sheet of legal cap paper set my hand and seal this eighth day of January A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty seven. Seal

Signed sealed published and declared by the before named Sarah Hughes as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names at her request as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said testatrix and of each other.

Sarah Hughes died in Blossburg 26th day of February 1887 at 11 a.m.
Sarah and Joseph are buried at Sebring Cemetery. Joseph’s brother, Benjamin HUGHES wife Mariah ? are buried next to them.
