This Indenture Made the twenty seventh Day of January in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred twenty between Samuel Westbrook and Richard Mitchel both of the Township of of [sic] Tioga in the County of Tioga and State of Pennsylvania Witnesseth that the said Samuel Westbrook the 
party of the first part for and in Consideration of the Sum of Forty nine Dollars and ten Cents lawful Money of Pennsylvania to him in hand paid by the said Richard Mitchel the party of the Second part the Receipt Whereof is confessed and acknowledged hath granted Bargained Sold Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant Bargained Sell Enfeoffed Release Convey and Confirmed unto the said Richard Mitchel and to his heirs and assigns A Certain Lot tract Piece or parcel of Land Situate on the Tioga River in the Township of Tioga aforesaid and Bounded as follows (VIZ) Beginning at a Post on on [sic] the east Bank of the Tioga River and runing South forty Six Degrees East forty Six perches to an old Sugar tree thence South forty four Degrees West fifty Six Perches to a Post thence South forty four Degrees East two Perches to a Black ash tree thence North Sixty five Degrees East forty Eight and half Perches to Sugar tree thence South thirty Nine Degrees East fifteen Perches and three tenths of Perches to a White Pine thence North thirty five Degrees East Seventy Perches and three Tenths of a perch to a Post thence North fifty west two perches to a post on the East Bank of aforsaid river thence along the Bank of said River South Seventy fifty seven Degrees west twenty three Perches thence South Seventy four Degrees West forty Perches Along the Bank of the river aforesaid thence North Eighty Nine West Nine Perches and five tenth of a Perch to the Place of Beginning Containing twenty Six acres and Bounded on the south by Samuel Westbrook on the East by Joseph Martin on the North by Robert Michel and on the West by the Tioga river. Being a part of a tract of Land Pattented by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to the said Samuel Westbrook. Together we the all and Singular the houses out houses Buildings Barns Stables Woods Ways Waters Watercourses Rights liberties Privileges and Appurtenances thereunto Belonging or in any wise appertaining And allso the Estate Rights title Interest rise posesion Claim or Demand of him the said Samuel Westbrook of in or to the Same To have and to hold the said Piece or parcel of Land hereditaments and Premises here by Granted or mentioned to be granted With the appurtenances unto the said Richard Mitchel his heirs and assigns and to the only proper use Benefit and behoof of him the Said Richard Mitchel his heirs and assigns forever and the said Samuel Westbrook and Polly Westbrook his Wife for them Selves heir & heirs doth hereby Covenant Promise and grant to and with the said Richard Mitchel and his heirs and assigns by these presents that they the said Samuel and Polly Westbrook and their heirs the said Described Lot or Piece of Land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned to be Granted with the appurtenances unto the said Richard Mitchel his heirs and assigns Against them the said Samuel and Polly Westbrook and their heirs and assigns and against all other persons or persons Whatsoever Lawfully Claiming to Claim by from or under them or any of them or any other person Shall and will Warrant and by these presents forever Defend in Witness Whereof the Said parties to these presents have interchangeably Set their Lands and Seals the Day and year first above written Samuel Westbrook (Seal) Polly (her x mark) Westbrook (Seal) Signed Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of us Samuel McDugall Stephen Herd Personally Appeared before me Samuel McDugall Esquire one of the Justices of the Peace in and for Tioga county State of Pennsylvania Samuel Westbrook the person named in this Indenture and Acknowledged the same to be his act and ded Executed for the persons here in mentioned this Sixth Day of June Eighteen hundred and twenty and after examining Polly the Wife of the above named Samuel Westbrook Seperately She acknowledged the within to be her act and deed Executed for the purposes herein mentioned without being influenced or Compeled as to do by her Husband
