NOTE FROM JMT: Ray Kennedy of Rutland was son of Asenith Horton and Hallock Kennedy.  His wife was Emma Bartlett. He is ID 16657 in Joyce's Sullivan-Rutland Genealogy Project.

    Registers Office, November 1, 1922, This day was presented the petition of Emma B. Kennedy of Rutland Township representing: That she is the widow of Ray Kennedy late of Rutland Township, who departed this life at his residence October 24, 1922, at 3 A.M. intestate. The next of kin of said decedent are Gladys K. Shelman, aged eighteen years, daughter. Gerould Kennedy, aged thirteen years, son. And Donald Kennedy aged ten years, son. All residing at Rutland Township, Pa. That the value of the personal property of the estate is Five hundred dollars and the value of the real estate is Two Thousand dollars and consists of farm property located in Rutland Township. The petitioners therefore prayed that Letters of Administration on said estate be granted to the petitioner November 1, 1922. Letters of Administration on the estate of Ray Kennedy, late of Rutland Township, were granted to Emma B. Kennedy, she first having been duly sworn as required by law.
November 1, 1922, Bond filed in the sum of One Thousand dollars, Signed by Emma B. Kennedy, Nathan Niles and William Kennedy.
November 16, 1922, General Inventory filed amounting to $ 1,271.73.
November 16, 1922, Filed appraisement for Transfer Inheritance tax amounting to $ 945.98 taxable at 2%.
February 7th 1923, The first and final account of the administratrix, examined, passed and filed.
