1860 | 21-Mar | D | Currigan, Mr. Peter | On Thursday last, Mr. Peter Currigan, of this village, was killed by being struck with logs. Which he, together with others, was engaged in rolling into the Creek, in the vicinity of Colton’s Camp. Mr. Currigan was a native of Ireland, an industrioous man, and a good citizen. His remains were brought to this Boro, where they were buried on Sunday. Rev. Mr. Mougan, the Catholic priest of this mission conducted the services. |

He left the residence of Michael Conway, where he was boarding, and proceeded to his farm, about a mile from the village, and commenced chopping, and soon after, the accident occurred. His remains were taken to Sullivan Co., for burial. |
