The unexpected death of this estimable lady has cast a gloom over a large circle of friends and bereft a husband, father and a family of children, of one dear and endearing to them. She was for many years a resident of this village, and enjoyed to an eminent degree the love and esteem of very many acquaintances, a void in whose hearts has been created, that time and death only can assuage. The last sad tribute was paid to her remains on Tuesday. They were taken to the Baptist church, of which she was an exemplary member. A sermon preached over the inanimate lady, the spirit having taken flight to Him who gave it, she now rests from her labours in the Spirit land.
