On page 461, Tioga County History 1897, we find in the ff, "The first Chatham Cemetery Association was incorporated Aug. 28, 1872 by Reuben MORSE, Reuben CLOOS, Lon AVERY, Amasa CLARK, Jr., Philip T. CLOOS, Alanson CLARK.
The cemetery controlled by this association, known as the Old Cloos Burying Ground, where a number of pioneers are buried. Arranged by Lola WETHERBEE Franke.
