Joyce,
I went looking for the "Clark" cemetery in Tioga
County, Clymer Twsp and found the directions less than useful. {I am sure Terry
meant no unkindness or discourtesy to us]
http://www.rootsweb.com/~srgp/cemt/clarkcly.htm
The locals don't seem to know it as Clark. In asking a couple of locals, one called it Wilcox cemetery and another called it East Beech cemetery ;-) There is no sign at the cemetery. [Earl Cooper who read this was as local as they come. Terry may have encountered some new to the area]
My directions (having found and visited it):
From Route 349 in Sabinsville, Tioga County, turn east
in the center of town onto the hardtop route 4012. Go East/Southeast about .5
mile and on the south side (right) of the road is a dirt road called Gurnee
road. Proceed south on Gurnee road for about 2.5 miles and on the east side
(left) of Gurnee road where Stiles road intersects is the cemetery.
Approx Lat/Long 41 49' 53.9" N, 77 32' 10.5" W .
Hope this helps the next person looking for the cemetery.
Additionally, Sally (Sarah Allington) Pritchard (d. 8 Aug 1856) is the wife of Lyman but the Lyman Pritchard (d. 31 Mar 1870) in the cemetery beside her is her son Lyman, not her husband. I have not found Sally's husband Lyman Pritchard (b. about 1768 d. 1823) burial location as of yet. The Lyman (b. 1803 d. 31 Mar 1870) buried there married Mary Swimler (Swimlar), thus is the father of Jane (Pritchard) Tubbs 1835-1913 buried there also.
Cheers,
Terry Pritchard
