Obituaries
MYERS George S. Myers Sr. George S. Myers, Sr., 89, of Faulkner Road, Wellsboro, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Robert Packer Hospital. He was the husband of June E. Myers who died July 8, 2000. George was born July 26, 1921, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of William E. and Minnie Schilling Myers. He was a retired sheet metal worker and member of the Stony Fork Baptist Church. George was a United States Navy veteran, serving during World War II. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, George and Debbie Myers, Jr. of Wellsboro; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Bob Schueller of Albany, Oregon; grandchildren, David Myers, Seth Myers and wife Jessica, Hannah Myers, Jason Dale, Bobby and Matthew Schueller; greatgrandchildren, Nathan Myers, Abigail Myers and Leah Myers. Friends and family are invited to George's Life Celebration on Monday, June 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a "Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 21, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dennis Crumb officiating. Burial will be in Stone Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in his memory to the Stony Fork Baptist Church , 2891 Stony Fork Road, Wellsboro, Pa. 16901. Wellsboro Gazette – June 15, 2011 |
