Brainard Family Burials, Warren Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania
Joyce's Search Tip - December 2007 -
Do You Know that you can search just the Bradford County Cemetery Records on the site by using the Cemeteries -Bradford button in the Partitioned search engine at the bottom of the Current What's New Page? If you use that partition follow these steps to search just one cemetery
1. Choose Cemeteries - Bradford.
2. Enter part of the cemetery name [ie Ballard or Berrytown] AND a surname.
3. Choose the Find ALL Words option. Then it will find just the pages with that surname in the one cemetery you indicated.

I have read the private cemetery of Albert Brainard in Warren Township as
follows:

Albert Brainard Died July 12, 1851, aged 51 years, 4 months, and 2 days
Aurella wife of Albert Brainard Died Jan 13, 1842, aged 37 years (maiden name Laurette Aurella Robbe)
Elizabeth Z. wife of Henry M. Billings  Died Oct 31, 1854 Aged 24 years, 2 months, and 17 days (died 22 days following the birth of her son Albert Billings) (maiden name Elizabeth Zeruah Brainard)
Isaac Caleb Brainard Died April 29, 1839, aged 4 months and 13 days
Lydia Brainard Died July 8, 1836, aged 16 days

Note: I read this cemetery back in 1980s, and the stones of Lydia & Issac were there, but the stones are no longer there on April 10, 2008. Someone has installed a fence around the perimeter and straightened up the remaing stones and planted flowers. I have attached a photo I took today of the cemetery. I have photos of the three remaing stones.

Bowen Family Burials, Warren Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania
I visited this small family cemetery on 4/30/08.  I can verify that this is the Noah Bowen, of Rehoboth, MA, who was a Revolutionary War soldier and a Mayflower descendant.

He was the father of Harriet (Haraeta) Bowen who married  Lewis Wade Jr in Rumford, RI, on Dec 1, 1814.  They moved to Warren Center sometime after 1816 and appear in the 1830 census for Warren, PA.  Lewis Wade Jr's father, Lewis Wade, also appears in the 1830 census.  In 1833, the family bought property in Newark Valley, NY.

At the Noah Bowen family cemetery, his tombstone is dated February 17, 1830, and there was a DAR marker.  Warren Town Supervisor, Fred Wheaton, had placed a flag in the marker.

How would you like me to verify this information for you?  I did take a digital photo but the tombstone is too weathered to read.  But up close, the date, 17 February 1830 is very clear.

I could not prove that his wife Elizabeth Brown Bowen was buried with him.  She does appear in the 1850 census with her youngest daughter Sabrina Chaffee.  Elizabeth died at age 92 in 1852.  Sabrina and her husband, Wilder, are buried in the Warren Center Cemetery.

I would be willing to verify all transcriptions I wrote in the Noah Bowen family cemetery including revisiting the site and trying for clearer photos.

But, I would first like a response from you that would indicate that we could add the transcriptions to your website.
