Joan NASH O'Dell comments on the old school  buses. When we moved to the Bailey farm Shirley was a soph. & in the spring of '38 I went to school with her one day as a "treat". School was in the old HS which I remember in detail. I believe I shared that description with you at an earlier time. After seeing the recent bus pictures that you put up ,it reminded me of the bus that we rode on from Lawrence Corners to town. There was a strip of seats down the center with the passengers sitting sideways looking out the side windows; then there were seats around the outside edges facing the inside. No one faced forward. It was old & very slow going up Patchogue Hill. As I recall the seats were like picnic benches
