BLOSSBURG'S NEW DOCTOR
 Dr. Silas D. Molyneux Begins Work at Blossburg State Hospital.  Dr. Silas D. Molyneux entered upon his duties as surgeon of the Blossburg hospital Wednesday, Oct. 23rd.  Dr. Molyneux is a native of Pennsylvanian, having been born in Sullivan county.  In addition to his public school education he was graduated from the West Chester State Normal and the University of Valparaiso.  After completing the medical course at the University of Pennsylvania he served his internship at the U.P. hospital, Philadelphia.  After spending thirteen months at the Wilkes-Barre City hospital he went to the Packer hospital at Sayre as associate surgeon with Dr. Guthrie, where he has worked for eight years. During his stay at Sayre Dr. Molyneux established an enviable reputation both in medicine and surgery and was in great demand not only in connection with his hospital work but throughout the northern tier of counties and in other parts of the state, in consultation and surgery.  He is a tireless worker but withal a student and has found time in his busy career to attend clinics at the Mayo Bros. hospital, Rochester, Minn.; at Murphy's, at Chicago; Dr. Deaver's and the U. P. hospital, Philadelphia, and John's Hopkins, Baltimore, as well as at other cities. The writer, having had a rather intimate knowledge of his work, is glad to pay tribute to him and to speak of the high esteem in which he is held throughout Bradford county, and to congratulate Tioga county and the Blossburg hospital on the acquisition of such a man. Differing somewhat in type from Dr. DeWitt, who was so universally beloved, like him however, he has the happy trait of inspiring confidence in the patient, and is a thorough-going gentlemen in all his dealings.  His wife, known to many Tiogans as Miss Sarah Sawtelle, is a charming woman and is a spendid team-mate in every respect to her husband.  The Molyneux's have only one child, a boy of about five months.  They will reside in the house formerly occupied by the DeWitts at Blossburg.---Rev.
