Transcribed by Linda ZAPF Cracraft
We are transcribing these from photocopies of local Bible Records in the collection of Tioga County Historical Society in Wellsboro. We thank them for their generosity in making them available to us. Many of the pages we have are photocopies of photocopies of faded or damaged original pages. As such, they are often very difficult to read. We have done the best that we can do considering the poor condition of some of the copies.
Joyce's Search Tip - January 2008
Do You Know that you can search just the Bible Records on the site by using the Bibles button in the Partitioned search engine at the bottom of the Current What's New Page
Note from Joyce M .Tice - There is no information in this record to tie it to our three county area nor to any other. If anyone has further information on these people please let us know. We are interested in their geographic location and any link they may have to the area covered on this site. .

The following family record was found in a copy of a book entitled “The Gilman Family”, traced in the line of Hon. John Gilman, of Exeter, N.H., with an account of many other Gilmans in England and America, by Arthur Gilman, A.M. 1869.
The name on the fly leaf is C. G. Hill: which would designate a former owner of the book.
This book is now in possession of A. William Ladd, of Wellsboro, R.D. #3, Box 116, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, 16901.  The book was purchased from Roger Harris, North Adams, Mass.

If you are not navigating this Tri-Counties Site via the left and right sidebars of the Current What's New page you are doing yourself a disservice. You can get to any place on the site easily by making yourself familiar with these subject and place topics. Try them all to be as familiar with the site's 16,000 plus pages as you can. Stop groping in the dark and take the lighted path. That's also the only way you'll find the search engines for the site or have access to the necessary messages I may leave for you. Make it easy on yourself.
