note:Abraham Ostrander lived in Tomp.Co.NY 1820-1850.His 1st wife,Catherine Boice died there about 1832.He probably married his 2nd wife Lucinda _____?, who was a widow w/children in Tomp.Co. However, they moved to Catlin, Chemung Co. ca 1851.

Chemung County Surrogates Court: to L. S. Spaulding, Surrogate of the County of Chemung:The petition of LUCINDA OSTRANDER of the town of Catlin in the County of Chemung respectfully sheweth that your petitioner is the sole executrix named in the last will and testament of ABRAM OSTRANDER late of the town of Catlin in the county of Chemung deceased. That said deceased was at or immediately previous to his death, an inhabitiant of the County of Chemung and departed this life in the Town of Catlin on the 13th day of September 1870, and that his said last will and testament relates to both real and personal estate, and that the estate of said deceased both real and personal does not exceed the sum of eighteen hundred dollars. Your petitioner further shews that the heirs and next of kin of the said deceased are, JOHN B. OSTRANDER, resident of Bay County, State of Michigan; MARY ANN SNYDER, resident of Ithica, Tompkins County NY; RACHEAL EATON, residing at Ithica Tompkins County NY; AMOS OSTRANDER residing in Aurora, Cayuga County NY; ABRAM OSTRANDER, residing in Sullivanville, Town of Veteran, Chemung County NY. That the deceased left LUCINDA OSTRANDER, widow him surviving. Your petitioner therefore prays that said last will and testament may be proved, and letters testamentary be granted thereon according to law. signature of Lucinda Ostrander I, LUCINDA OSTRANDER the petitioner named in the foregoing petition, being duly sworn, do depose and say, that I have heard read the foregoing petition, to which I have subscribed my name, and know the contents thereof, and that said petition is true of my own knowledge, except as to those matters therein stated on information and belief and that as to those matters I believe to be true.
