Lawton Family Bible
This family record has been compiled using the Tioga County History
( 1897 ) Cemetery records and Bible Records. Presented by Perley Lawton,
Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pa.
Noyes Lawton was born in Rhode island 14 Feb 1762. He fell in a log
barn and broke his back 18th Feb 1834 and lived just four days;
died 18th Feb 1834 being 72 years and 4 days old. He is buried
at Germantown, New York. He married Cynthia Rathbone of Rhode Island. Their
son, Gideon Lawton was born 11th Nov 1786 in Rhode Island, married
in 1808 Polly Dodge of Oxford, New York. Gideon died in McDonouth, Chenango
County, new York 13th Feb 1841 being then just 55 years old.

Russell Lawton born 21 Nov 1816 died 29 Oct 1888; married 18 Oct 1840 Susanna
B. Hardy born 19 Jan 1823, daughter of Levi and Sally ( Borden ) Hardy.
Susanna died 2 ND June 1897 buried in Wellsboro Cemetery.

Warren Lawton was born 31 October 1844, Delmar Township, Tioga County,
Pennsylvania; married 13th February 1867 to Clarissa Townsend,
daughter of Jacob Townsend. Clarissa died 22 April 1892. Warren Lawton
was a member of Company I, 45th Pennsylvania Volunteers.

Clara Lyon Lawton died 7th August 1930 and Noyes Lawton married
2ND, 1st Jan1936, Estella Lyon who died 17th
November 1949.
Edgar Lawton born 21 Jan 1849, Delmar Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania
the youngest son of Russell and Susannah B. (Hardy) Lawton married 20 February
1872, Agnes Orr, daughter of Thomas and Charlotte (McLees) Orr. Edgar died
in 1929 and Agnes in 1939 buried in Westbranch Cemetery, located in Delmar
Township, Tioga County, Pa.

buried West Branch Cem. One son, Frank F. Lyon b. 5 Sep 1860 by 1st
marriage who m. Amelia Gethler. Children by 2ND wife Henrietta

I thought there was a special place to click to report errors/corrections
but was unable to find it.
In the Lawton Family Bible, it lists Edgar Lawton b. 1849 and his son
Thomas R. b. 1773.
