The above record of births was located in California; Rufus Lanning Hardy took this Bible Record with him when he traveled from Michigan to California. The family of Levi Hardy was in Tioga County, Pa., prior to 1816.
Levi Hardy War of 1812
In pursuance of an act of Congress approved 28th September
1850 entitled, An Act granting County Lands to certain officers and soldiers
who have been engaged in the Military Service of the United States of America
Warrant no. 61282 for forty acres issued in favor of Levi Hardy, who served
as a Private in Captain Clark’s Company, New York State Militia, War of
1812.

On record at Allegan Court House, Allegan County, Michigan. Allegan County created 1831.
Levi Hardy volunteered at Cazenovia, Madison County, New York. Date of enlistment September 9th 1814. He served as a Private, was discharged at Sacketts Harbor, New York 13th November 1814.
This would make you eligible for Colonial Dames & Daughters of the Colonists membership; and since you are tracing through Revolutionary soldiers also eligible for Daughters of The American Revolution.

PA were married June 6, 1906 by Rev. P.H. Hershey Moss at Galeton PA
Helen Emma Bailey of Wellsboro, PA and Leo Clair Bailey of Wellsboro were married January 4, 1922 at the Presbyterian manse by Rev. David R. Evans.
Hallie M. Bailey and Helen Emma Bailey were sisters.

Wellsboro Cemetery
GROSJEAN - Lewis Dean Grosjean, aged 70 years of Wellsboro. RD6, died
at his home Thursday afternoon of a heart attack, while working on a pump
in the cellar of his home. He was born in Delmar Township July 4, 1882,
and was the son of Sirquest and Melissa Plumley Grosjean. He was at one
time a barber, later being greenskeeper for 18 years at the Tyoga country
Club in Wellsboro. During World War II while his two sons were in the service
he went to Corning and was employed in the Optical Department at the Corning
Glass Works. Mr. Grosjean was a member of the Wellsboro Presbyterian church
and a lifelong resident of Dlemar township, except for a few years in Corning.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hallie Bailey Grosjean of Wellsboro RD6; two
sons; Elmeron L. of Corning, NY, and Robert B. of Wellsboro; five grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, the Rev.
Dr. Orrin G. Cocks officiating. Burial was in Wellsboro cemetery. - Wellsboro

BAILEY - Hallie Bailey Grosjean, age 92, of RD6, Wellsboro, died October 30, 1977 in Wellsboro. Mrs. Grosjean was born May 15, 1885 in Wellsboro, the daughter of Elmiran and Emma Jane Balfour Bailey. She was a tailor and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wellsboro. She is survived by two sons, Elmiran L. Grosjean of Corning and Robert B.Grosjean of Wellsboro; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 PM with the Rev. Stephen P. McCutchan officiating. Burial in the Wellsboro Cemetery. - Wellsboro Gazette, 2 November 1977, p.12

FISHLER - Mrs. Alice Margaret Fishler Balfour, aged 66 years, wife of Richard Balfour, died at 8 o’clock yesterday (February 11, 1930) morning at her home on East Avenue. She is survived by her husband; one son, Ray Balfour; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Bowen; 8 grandchildren; and three sisters - Mrs. Abner Campbell, Mrs. Robert Campbell and Mrs. John Bailey. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at St. Paul’s Episcopal church of which Mrs. Balfour was a member, Rev. Dr. George B. FISCHLER - Mrs. Cora Gertrude Campbell, 84, of Central Avenue, died
Monday (May 14, 1962) night in the Wellsboro Hospital. She was born January
30, 1878 in Delmar Township, the daughter of Joseph and Cornelia Benauer
Fischler, and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Surviving are
two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Ross of Depew, NY and Mrs. Ione Apgar of Wellsboro,
a step granddaughter. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 PM in St.
Paul’s Church, the Rev. Harry Frownfelter officiating. Burial will be in
Wellsboro Cemetery. - Wellsboro Gazette, May 17, 1962
